Today John took me to his village in Southern Sudan.  When I was on my way there I thought it would be all torn, wrecked, and gory.  But it was not like that at all it was beautiful and green.  I can not imagine that this place was once a war going on here.  Here is a pic of John there.
When it was time to leave they sent me back with a gourd.  It was really cool.  I have now decided that I will not go back because the plane ride was about 30 hours and 40 hours back.

Last day with Emmanuel

I want to take Emmanuel to the morning swim with John.  He said that he had never been to the beach so I did not know if he would like it.  It turns out that he did like it, but as usual I ran to the water and bolted back from the freezing cold water.  Then out of nowhere I laid down in the sand and started rolling into the water.  I do not know why I did that but it worked.  It was a fun morning but it was not over.  After we got our donuts and hot chocolate we rode our bikes to school with John and Tor.  Emmanuel did not have a hard time getting up the hills, well the truth is he was the best at getting up the hills and he never stopped to take a breath or get water.  He was the most amazing bike ridder that is named Emmanuel I have met.  I had school in an hour so I showered up and went to school with Emmanuel.  He could undersand the math but nothing else because they did not have science or social studies in Ghana.  At lunch we could smell the tacos.  Emmanuel had never had a taco!!!  He did not really like it.  So instead we had nachos.  He like those so we stuck with the nachos.  He thought we looked funny at wild frolicking and drama.  Then I went to marshal arts by that time he had to go back to the air port.  After he had left I really missed him.  I hope I see him again.

blog post emmanuels visit day one

On day one emmanuel was tired but I managed to take him to go see the elephant seals in Morrow Bay. It smelled really bad.  Emmanuel thought the elephant were funny and fat.  They are funny and they are fat, so he made a good point. Then we want to go to the cookie store called Brown Butter Cookie Factory.  But we decided that we should eat lunch first.  So I took him to the closest IN-n-Out there was.
We each got a double double and we loved it a lot.  It as a lot of fun. click on this to go to the website.  elephant seals rock!!!!!
