plane ride

I woke up a 3:00 in the morning by the unpleasant sound of my alarm clock.  I was excited and at the same time not because Emma, Gretchen, Claira, and I had a 23 hour plane ride ahead of us.  At 3:30 we were in the car on the way to LAX where our flight took off.  We waited in the airport for 1 hour until our flight number was called.  We wanted to get used to not being "exquisite" environments so we felt like we should sit in the economy class.  I was sitting next to Gretchen and an old Israeli woman.  I could understand the woman next to me yelling to the man across the aisle.  She was speaking hebrew, I am not very good at hebrew but i could tell she was not happy with him.  We were only 3 hours into the flight so I was not excited to see where the woman's conversation went so i just fell asleep.
When I woke up it was 5 hours into the flight.  I was miserable and tired so for the next 9 hours I read and tried to read an english to arabian dictionary, to me it did not make sense at all.
I think I had fall asleep again because i heard a voice saying 30 minuets left.  I was filled with joy because at this point i would do anything to get off this plane ride.
Then we got on a bus and drove to the town where Sabah lives.

maruge day 1-2

I woke up in a hut with my back hurting from the stiff ground that I slept on the night before.  I am not used to sleeping on the ground but on a mattress.  I asked maruge if we could go to the market and get some traditional eldoret food.  We found the that the most popular food was corn, we bought some and had it for dinner that night it was amazing.  The corn tasted so fresh that we had to get more.  The next day we went to into the town and saw the people from the villages dancing.  It was really fun and interesting to watch.
