I woke up at 3:10, I was tired but I knew I needed to get the water for my family. I was dragging my feet along the cold dirt floor of my hut. I had to be very quiet because everyone else in the house was sleeping. I grabbed the yellow empty jerry jug and started off on my 5 mile walk to the well, I was lucky I lived so close. I was way to scared to go out by myself so I had one of my friends Binah come with me. Binah was a really good dancer and probably the best in the village. Her name also means dancer. Binah also had a tired look on her face, she also had a jerry jug with except hers was red not yellow like mine. We had walked in silence for about a half a hour when something bit me. I scream and fell over, whatever bit me it really hurt. I started to scream even louder, Binah looked over at me and told me it was just a bee. I felt embarrassed and confused, I wondered why it hurt so bad. I got up but the pain was still in my left leg, but I knew I had to keep going.
We were almost at the well when my leg had stopped hurting, I was glad that it had died down because if it had not then it would have been almost impossible to carry the 5 gallon jerry jug back. We held the jugs up and got our jugs filled as fast as possible so we could get away from the crowd of screaming woman gathered around the well.
I could feel the sweat dripping down my face and back feeling the cold refreshing water. Even though it felt nice we knew it could not be wasted.
I was so thirsty and I think Binah was to because the look on her face explained it all. I was so tempted to take a giant gulp of that water but I abstained myself from drinking some, because I knew that I could not or there would not be enough for everyone in my family. At one point I almost drank some of the water but Binah held me back and restrained me.
Our backs started to hurt so we had to try to carry the water on our heads it was hard because we usually weren't this tired, so that we had more energy but today we were very tired from doing our school work.
By the time we got back it was about 6:45 in the morning. I said bye to Binah and walked into my families hut, put the water next to the door and walked to the "bedroom" and crashed out exhausted.

up early with Binah...bee sting...fell asleep at 6:45!
I like how you used your imagination for the setting of this. All that's missing is some visuals.
i like the bee part
I liked the bee part. It was funny when you screamed and Binah said it was just a bee!!
